Chanda Lockhart
Vice President of Development & Marketing
Chanda Lockhart is a nonprofit leader with nearly two decades of experience in strategic fundraising, marketing and public relations with nonprofit organizations dedicated to K-12 education, health and human services, and the arts. As Vice President of Development and Marketing at EdVoice, she leads statewide efforts to advance equity-focused education policy through public engagement, and private and public investments in our mission.
Chanda has dedicated her career to supporting ecosystems that build up young people and their families, and organizations working to level the playing field. Previously, Chanda served as Chief Development Officer at Gateway Public Schools, where she oversaw fundraising, communications, board engagement and strategic partnerships. She also had the privilege of fundraising on behalf of youth and families at Seven Tepees Youth Program, San Francisco Friends School, Alisa Ann Ruch Burn Foundation, and the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra.
She lives in San Francisco with her spouse and two children.
Prior to graduate school, Abby spent two years serving as an Americorps volunteer with City Year in San Jose. Abby earned her master’s degree in public policy from UC Berkeley’s Goldman School of Public Policy and her B.A. in Political Science with honors from Boston University.
