Prior to joining EdVoice Institute, Marshall was the Head of Education Recovery at GPSN, where he led the creation of the Los Angeles Education Recovery Fund, an effort which raised close to $17 million to fund high quality nonprofit organizations to provide additional academic, enrichment and health related supports to children in Los Angeles who were most impacted by the pandemic.

He has also been an Educator in Residence at the New Teacher Center, worked on efforts to increase public school funding and elect strong education candidates to public office, and taught English and Math internationally.
Before going into education full time, Marshall worked in technology and finance. Marshall received a B.A. from UCLA, an MBA from Harvard Business School, and was a fellow in the Broad Residency in Urban Education. Marshall lives in Los Angeles with his wife Mae and their son Mason.
